PRINCIPLES AND AIMS
The WFDY includes youth organization in different countries and of diverse political tendencies, religious beliefs and forms of activity which, on the basis of equality and mutual respect for their autonomy, wish to coordinate their efforts for the best satisfaction of the interest of youth and to make their contribution to the common ideas of freedom, independence, democracy, friendship, international solidarity and world peace.
Who we are
The WORLD PEACE COUNCIL (WPC) is an anti-imperialist, democratic, independent and non-aligned international movement of mass action. It is an integral part of the world peace movement and acts in cooperation with other international and national movements. The WPC is the largest International Peace structure, based in more than 100 countries.
Mission of the US Peace Council
The US Peace Council is a multi-racial, pro-working class, anti-imperialist organization committed to peace, economic and social justice and to international solidarity with the peoples of the world. The U.S. Peace Council was founded in 1979 in the major Cities. It is affiliated with the World Peace Council, the world’s largest peace organization and an NGO member of the United Nations.
The mission of the MPD is to unite as many pro-democracy forces as possible in the United States to develop a united front against fascism, the greatest threat to peace.
Membership is $1 per month. Please send a check for 6-12 months made out to Alan Shorb, our treasurer, with WREE in the memo line, at the address listed on the card, and we will issue you a membership card.
The Amalgamated Transit Union is lead by an International President, International Executive Vice President, an International Secretary-Treasurer, and 18 International Vice Presidents who form its General Executive Board.
All of these international officers are elected by the ATU's triennial International Convention.

Our history began in 1896 when musicians gathered in Indianapolis and organized the American Federation of Musicians (AFM) for “any musician who receives pay for his musical services.” Representing 3,000 members, AFM was granted a charter by the American Federation of Labor (AFL). Now we are 80,000 musicians strong.

The purpose of the NWU shall be to promote and protect the rights, interests, and economic advancement of members; to organize writers to improve professional working conditions through collective bargaining action; and to provide professional services to members.
